Swiss and foreign farmers assigning to the field of PEP (Proof of Ecological Performance), BIO (Organic Farming); farmers in education and training; scientists; advisors; national and international politicians. Between 1,000 and 1,500 visitors are expected, whereby the maximum number of attendees will be based on the current federal and cantonal regulations. The detailed programme will be determined in the course of April. From then on, online registration will also be possible.

General programme

During two consecutive days in the field, with different range, visitors will have the opportunity to learn mainly about agronomic topics related to Conservation Agriculture:

  • 2 daily priorities according to arable crops
  • 30 thematic posts on soil and cropping techniques
  • 30 hectares of experimental and demonstration plots for visiting
  • 2 hectares of exhibition space for the national and international sponsors
  • 15 video documentations of the thematic posts and demonstration plots for training purposes
  • 2 languages: the Field Days will be presented in French and German
  • Based on the COVID measures, group visits (also in English) according to a predefined daily programme
  • Catering facilities on the Field Day site
Technical programme

On the spaciously arranged demonstration platform in Witzwil, visitors are provided with experimental results and cropping techniques on all aspects of Conservation Agriculture:

  • Demonstration plots with crops such as wheat, barley, rapeseed, maize, sunflower, soyabean, sugar beets and temporary grassland
  • Cover crop display
  • Soil in the focus
  • Conservation Organic Agriculture
  • Conservation vegetable cropping
  • Soil carbon
  • No-till drills and precision planters on show
