It´s my great pleasure and honour to welcome you to the 11th Congress of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders – European Chapter (IFSO-EC), which is going to be held in Zürich 2023. Together with the scientific committee, the IFSO-EC Excecutive council, and the local organizing committee we anticipated to design an excellent program attracting bariatric/metabolic surgeons, endocrinologists, gastroenterologists, researchers in the field of obesity, and allied health specialists. Pre-congress courses will be offered, state-of-the-art lectures, interdisciplinary and interprofessional panel discussions, abstract sessions on the latest scientific work and video presentations will provide a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas in an open and friendly atmospherere.
