The 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining, Minerals, Metals and Sustainable Development (IGF) will take place from Monday, 7 November 2022 to Thursday, 10 November 2022. The event is hosted by UNCTAD at the Palais des Nations in Geneva and participants will also be able to attend virtually.
This year’s theme is Critical Minerals and the Energy Transition. The meeting will gather representatives from the IGF’s 79 member countries, observer governments, industry, non-governmental, international, civil society, and civil society organizations.
A diverse selection of speakers and panellists will explore the important role that mining will play in the energy transition.
Note: Monday’s proceedings are restricted to government delegates only and require a separate registration for participation.
The IGF Secretariat is hosted by the International Institute for Sustainable Development and has core funding from the governments of Canada and the Netherlands.
