The Swiss Museum of Transport presents the past, present and future development of transport and mobility on road, rail and water as well as in the air and space in a wide range of engaging and exciting settings. In addition, the latest exhibition “Experience Energy!” offers exciting insights into the topic energy such as mobility is naturally linked to energy. Without energy, there is no mobility and no transport.

The visitors come across over 3,000 objects, superb simulators, multimedia shows and interactive platforms in an exhibition area of some 20,000 sqm.

A visit to the Swiss Museum of Transport is further enhanced by unique attractions such as the Filmtheater with the largest screen in Switzerland, the most modern Planetarium in the country, the Swiss Chocolate Adventure, the Livemap Switzerland (a walk-on 200 sqm high-resolution aerial photo of Switzerland) and the Hans Erni Art Gallery. A Conference Centre and restaurants are as well part of the facilities. It is a museum, a display window, a place of inspiration and learning of national significance and international reach. And it is also a forum for special events and activities.

Corporate events

The Conference Center has two highly modern conference halls and two foyers with panoramic views, five seminar rooms and a generous inner court that is part of the museum as well.

The incorporation of museum facilities offers remarkable scope for the creation of unique events such as congresses, annual general meetings, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, product presentations or company events. Allow your imagination full rein!

Unforgettable moments

Attractions such as the Planetarium and the Filmtheater provide a framework for an extraordinary accompanying program. They are unique locations for events of all kinds, like presentations, concerts, cultural activities or talks. Furthermore, how about a refreshing apéritif or a gala dinner underneath aircraft and planes? The aviation hall can be rented after the official opening hours for private events.
