Your Convention Center
The SwissTech Convention Center is comprised of three levels with each offering its own unique atmosphere. The Campus level can accommodate up to 2,200 people and is the perfect venue for large events: conventions, assemblies, banquets. The comfort of the Poltrona seating and the pattern allows every participant to enjoy the room and feel near the speaker regardless of where they are seated. On the Garden level, almost 4,000 sqm can be configured in numerous ways to accommodate break-out rooms, exhibitions and workshops. The sliding walls allow us to create up to 17 sections, with capacities ranging from 30 to 500 seats.
The SwissTech can be conveniently reached by public transportation – train and metro – from the Geneva International airport in less than one hour. The metro station is literally at our front door. The building is in the heart of the SwissTech Village which offers host of conveniences to our local community and participants including a hotel, restaurants, grocery and retail stores, a 24 hour parking, a hairdresser and a medical center.
For over 50 years, the EPFL has establisheditself as a leading technical university in Europe with a focus on education, research and innovation and contributes to progress and positive impact on various levels of society. Being embedded into the campus environment allows for a unique opportunity to tap into the knowledge network through inviting speakers from the university to participate in events. Further, participants can meet with EPFL staff and professors or with executives from the on-site Innovation Park, home to over 100 start-ups.
Sustainability and social efforts
As part of the EPFL, the SwissTech Convention Center is a laboratory in a true sense. The architecture of the SwissTech includes several breakthrough discoveries made at EPFL, like using the water of Lake Geneva to cool the building or geothermal pillars supporting the structure of the building are used for heating and cooling. The building was designed to be as energy efficient as possible. In addition, the work environment at the SwissTech and the personal engagement of our staff supports the nurturing attitude that we accord to our organizers, partners, suppliers and participants alike.
