A further 11 modular rooms considerably expand the Congress Center Basel’s facilities. Used individually or in combination, they accommodate events for 10 to 1,000 people. The modular rooms are on the ground floor and directly accessible from the Congress Center’s main entrance. In addition to a plenary event with over 6,000 participants, sufficient space is available in the immediate vicinity for concurrent breakout sessions.

Congresses and other world-class events

In 2024, the Messe and Congress Center Basel successfully hosted three major congresses, reaffirming its suitability for largescale events. The European Stroke Organization Conference (ESOC), the annual conference of the Association for Medical Education in Europe (AMEE) and the Annual Meeting of the German, Austrian, and Swiss Societies for Haematology and Medical Oncology (DGHO) together attracted over 10,000 attendees to Basel.

Looking ahead to this year, Basel is set to welcome WordCamp Europe 2025, numerous national and international congresses and major events such as the Eurovision Song Contest and the UEFA Women’s Euro, both of which will feature fan zones in MesseQuartier Basel.
