Instrumental movement analysis in clinics and in sport has increased steadily in recent years. The Society for the Analysis of Human Motor Skills in its Clinical Application (GAMMA) has set itself the goal of advancing both research and clinical practice. The current GAMMA Congress is already the fifth congress to combine a scientific conference and a two-day gait analysis course.

The venue for the 5th GAMMA Congress is St. Gallen in eastern Switzerland. This is the first time that the GAMMA Congress is taking place in Switzerland. The laboratory for movement analysis at the Eastern Swiss Children’s Hospital was founded in 2009. We have been carrying out gait analyses here for over 15 years now to support indications in pediatric orthopedics and neurology.

Movement analysis not only brings added value in clinics, but also in the field of sport, whether in the context of prevention, rehabilitation or performance improvement. The motto of the 5th GAMMA Congress is therefore “Added value of movement analysis in clinics and sport”.
