The focus of the proposed project is the protection and prevention against sexual violence of children and adolescents growing up in Switzerland in an out-of-home setting. Proposed by Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), funded by the Federal Office for Gender Equality, and carried out in collaboration with the Department of Formation and Learning/High School of Pedagogy of SUPSI and the Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale (HES-SO), the project aims to present scientifically based protection and prevention measures based on collection and analysis of protective and risk factors in the context of socioeducational institutions. Taking into account the complex methodological framework of research, the data that will be presented pertains to the analysis of the documents/framework concept of the institutions involved and the analysis of interviews and focus groups with professionals, specialists as well as students in social work. These analyses will also provide insight into how the topic is dealt with in social work institutions and what are the opportunities and challenges for professional(s), child(ren), adolescent(s) and their families. Could these reflections be useful if transferred to the school context?
