The International Conference on Malignant Lymphoma (18-ICML) is a key event for the scientific community engaged in the study and treatment of lymphoid neoplasms.Organized by the Foundation for the Institute of Oncology Research (IOR), in cooperation with the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and in collaboration with the European School of Oncology (ESO), since its first edition in 1981 the ICML has led to a number of important advances in the field of lymphomas. During the 11th ICML the “Lugano Classification” was developed, taking new diagnostic imaging methods (in particular PET) into consideration, and it is now used all over the world to stage and classify lymphomas.
