Since 1972, the Swiss Society for Intensive Care Medicine (SGI) has been committed to high-quality treatment for critically ill patients in Swiss hospitals. The merger of doctors and intensive care nurses to form a specialist society in 2011 is still groundbreaking today. Since then, the SGI has reflected the interprofessionalism that is practiced every day in the intensive care units. Together we take responsibility for the intensive care patients in Switzerland.
