The 2025 UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Regional Forum on Sustainable Development (RFSD) will focus on the theme ‘Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind’. The Forum will take place ahead of the 2025 UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF).

The UNECE is organizing the annual intergovernmental forum, which aims to assess progress and exchange knowledge, best practices, and policy solutions to support the 2030 Agenda, in line with regional priorities.

The Forum will conduct in-depth review of SDG 3 (good health and well-being), SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), SDG 14 (life below water), and SDG 17 (partnerships for the Goals). The Forum will also support countries presenting their voluntary national reviews (VNRs) at the 2025 HLPF.

The Forum report and Chair’s summary will be submitted to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and conveyed to the HLPF.
