We are now joining forces with the World Heart Federation and including the event as a part of the World Heart Summit. Featuring a panel discussion followed by a reception, our event titled Charting the course to 2025: Priorities for the UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs, aims to gather esteemed leaders, advocates, and stakeholders engaged in the noncommunicable diseases, including mental health and neurological conditions (NCD) agenda to discuss strategies to accelerate progress on NCD prevention and care in preparation for the Fourth High-level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on the Prevention and Control of NCDs and Mental Health in September 2025. During the event leadership from NCD Alliance and World Heart Federation will be sharing civil society priorities for the HLM.

Objectives of the event:
  • Take stock of the global NCD response, progress towards the 2025 global NCD targets, and national implementation of the NCD “best buys”.
  • Spotlight effective national leadership and action on NCDs, as well as individual diseases and specifically cardiovascular diseases (CVDs).
  • Explore key themes and priorities for the upcoming 2025 UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs as a key opportunity, as well as the preparatory meetings leading in (including on SIDS, humanitarian settings, and NCD financing).
