Today, the BERNEXPO congress centre offers eight rooms with a modern infrastructure totalling a gross conference space of 1,300 m2 for up to 700 delegates. From autumn 2025, the iconic new Festhalle facility is set to grace the site. This new building complex will be divided into a multifunctional hall, foyer and congress centre offering maximum flexibility in up-to-the-minute surroundings, complemented by a hospitality suite with catering facilities. Totalling more than 8,500 m2, this new facility will accommodate meetings, conventions, cultural events, shows, trade fairs and sporting events with a capacity of up to 9,000 people. These spaces can easily be combined with the site’s eight existing exhibition halls to create additional capacity. And thanks to its smart building logistics system and generous ceiling clearances of up to 10 metres, the venue will be able to accommodate twostorey stands, stages and tribunes. Outdoor areas totalling 100,000 m2 offer additional space for live performances, sporting events and combined indoor and outdoor activities.

Thanks to its ideal location in the heart of Switzerland, the site enjoys excellent public transport and motorway connections, making travel to the site trouble-free. And due to its vicinity to western Switzerland, Bern is also the perfect platform for multilingual events. In addition, there are fast rail connections with Zurich Airport taking little more than an hour.

As a compact city where everything is within easy reach, Bern is the place to come for efficient, fast and sustainable event planning.
