GUESS THE TOP SPEED ON THE HUNDSCHOPF
When the professionals compete against each other at the international Lauberhorn Races for the best time at Wengen in the Bernese Oberland from 17-19 January, the resort becomes a hotspot in the world of skiing. And once again, SWISS will be there as official partner to and the biggest fan of the event.
We are particularly looking forward to the Lauberhorn Downhill. At around 4,500 metres, the Lauberhorn Downhill is the longest route in the Ski World Cup. And with the legendary jump on the Hundschopf, it offers a particular highlight for skiers and audiences.
The professionals ski against a fabulous backdrop with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, covering the distance between the starting gate and the finish line in just 2:30 minutes. Speed is essential to end up on the winners’ podium – and you could be a winner too.
The highest speed ever recorded on a section of the course was over a dizzying 160 kilometres an hour. We want you to tell us what the top speed at the 2020 Hundschopf jump will be. If your guess comes the closest, or if you are lucky enough to guess the correct speed, then with a little bit of luck you could win two tickets in SWISS Business to a SWISS destination of your choice – #ReadyForTakeOff!
And you’ll be able to check whether you guessed correctly live on Swiss TV. The skiers’ speeds will be announced there during the live transmission.
You have until the race starts at 12.30 pm on 18.1.2020 to enter the competition.
