The European Association of Psychosomatic Medicine (EAPM) is an international organization that exists to promote a unified mental and physical perspective on health and illness. It does this by sharing research and clinical understanding and by promoting patient centred care in all countries. The EAPM is therefore deeply concerned by, and implacably opposed to, the actions of Russia in invading Ukraine. These actions are already causing severe harm to the physical and mental health of very many people and threaten to seriously impede international scientific cooperation. EAPM joins with those clinicians and academics in all parts of the world, including Russia, in condemning the invasion by Russian armed forces. We also want members of EAPM currently in Ukraine to know that we are thinking of them.
