Hydrogen Production, Hydrogen Storage, Hydrogen Applications, Theory and Modelling, Fuel Cells, Batteries, Synthetic Fuels, Functional Materials

The 15th International Symposium “Hydrogen & Energy” serves as an information platform of the fundamental science and the frontiers of research in Sciences and Technology of Hydrogen & Energy (Hydrogen Production, Hydrogen Storage, Hydrogen Applications, Theory and Modelling, Fuel Cells, Batteries, Synthetic fuels). The symposium series started in 2007 and became international in 2014 in Guangzhou, China, followed by Mount Zao in Japan in 2016, Hawaii, USA in 2017, Incheon, Korea in 2019, and Sapporo, Japan in 2020 and takes place for the second time after 2015 in Emmetten, Switzerland. In 2018 the symposium received the Latsis award and was held at EPFL in Lausanne Switzerland. The symposium consists of keynote and invited lectures reviewing the key elements of the hydrogen cycle, i.e. the hydrogen production, hydrogen storage and hydrogen combustion and fuel cells. Furthermore, contributions on the conversion of renewable energy in general and energy carriers beside and beyond hydrogen are very welcome. The world leading experts present the current research challenges and most important results in contributing talks and posters. Early stage and experienced researchers present their newest results and the open questions on posters as well as in a one slide presentation. The conference will take place in the hotel Seeblick in Emmetten close to Lucerne in Switzerland. Emmetten is very close to the “Rütli” the origin of Switzerland (year 1291) and connected by ropeway to the skiing resort Klewenalp. The number of participants is limited to 120.
