The SVRG is actively involved in ophthalmological training. The annual “Retina Update” promotes the transfer of knowledge on current retinological topics into ophthalmological practice with speakers from home and abroad. A major concern is also the promotion of young scientists who research in the field of the retina. Every year, thanks to sponsors from industry, several earmarked funding prizes are awarded for outstanding scientific publications and projects.
